Woodshock (1985)

Richard Linklater’s super8 documentation of the Austin Music festival looks less like Woodstock, from which the festival takes its skewed name, and more like Heavy Metal Parking Lot. Sadly, it is less humorous. The only noteworthy thing about this film, other than its director, is a small cameo by Daniel Johnston. Otherwise, this is just a loose portrait of drunken tailgating before a concert that never makes the final cut.
